Barbara Jean (Kane) Orr

Barbara Jean Orr, 79, of Crossett, passed away November 24, 2017, at the Stonegate Villa Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born August 8, 1938, in West Memphis, Arkansas to Charles Jackson and Genevieve Kane.  She married Joe Orr on September 9, 1957, and they moved to Crossett in 1964.  Barbara has been an active member of the Church of Christ on Pine Street since 1975 and enjoyed quilting, cooking, and gardening.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Joe Orr.  She is survived by her three children, Angela Collins and husband, Barry, of Rayville, LA, Tony Orr and wife, Kelly, of Roland, AR, and Scott Orr of North Adams, MA; one brother, Jackie Kane and wife, Joyce, of Oak Grove, LA.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 25th at the Church of Christ, 301 Pine Street, in Crossett with Pastor Charles Harris officiating, followed by an interment at Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Medders Funeral Home.  Pallbearers are Fred Akin, Harry Joe Tumlison, Jerry Terrell, Tommy Pearson, Tommy Pahal, and Billy Wayne Edwards.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., Saturday, November 24th at Medders Funeral Home, 1564 Hwy 52 W, Crossett.
