Ms. Bernice "Mutt" Parrott, 94, of Crossett passed away Saturday February 7, 2015 at Stonegate Villa Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on August 18, 1920 to James Edward and Maggie Mills. She was a member of Second Baptist Church of Crossett and retired from Bemis Bag Co. after 23 years. She also worked 8 years at Wal-mart, was an avid fisherman, and loved watching wrestling and the Atlanta Braves play baseball.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Lois Jean Harrington; three brothers, Virgil Mills, Woodrow Mills, and Clyde Sharp; one sister, Mable Williams; one grandson, Mark Parrott; and an infant grandson.
She is survived by one son, Charles Parrott and wife Pat of Crossett; one daughter, Belva Pamplin and husband William of Crossett; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 10th at Crossroads Cemetery with Bro. James Fleming officiating under the direction of Medders Funeral Home of Crossett.
Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m. Monday, February 9th at Medders Funeral Home, 1564 Hwy 52 W, in North Crossett.
