Mrs. Blanche Evelyn Murray, age 79, of Crossett died Tuesday, March 3, 2015. She was born on Feb. 24, 1936 to Taylor S. and Loraine Weems Warren in Hazen, Arkansas. She was a resident of Crossett since 1965, a Baptist, and a retired Arkansas Forrest Ranger. She was known for her love of Hummingbirds, bowling, and making ceramics. In Addition, to being one of the first female Forrest Rangers in Arkansas, she was the first grand marshal in the “Ashley County Walk for Alzheimer’s” in 2012, and loved to be around family, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy Lloyd Murray Sr.; one brother, Charles Warren; and one grandson Gabriel Taylor Murray.
She is survived by five children, Billy Lloyd Murray JR. of Crossett, Johnny Allen Murray and wife JoDee of Baton Rouge, LA, Brenda Ann Corker and husband Steve of Clayton, N.C., Linda Jo Watkins of Crossett, and Mark Roy Murray and wife Laura of Crossett; eight grandchildren, and 11.5 great grandchildren.
Her remains were cremated, and a memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday March 6, 2015 at the Medders Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Keith Boseman Officiating.
