Ms. Brenda Jean Hogan, 69, of Crossett, died Thursday Feb. 27, 2015 at the Hospice Home Care Center in Little Rock. Brenda was born on December 24, 1945 to Otto and Birdie Harmonia Jimmerson. She was a native of Dewitt, and a longtime resident of Crossett. She loved to read books, work in her garden, going to the beach, and sewing for her family. She also was once part owner, and operator of V.T. Restaurant in Crossett. In addition, to her hobbies, and family she enjoyed being a member of the Freedom Ministries Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include four sons; Jim Taylor and wife, Teresa, of Ft. Smith, Robert Taylor and wife, Jenny, of Raleigh N.C., Joe Taylor and wife, Laura, of Conway, and Tim Hogan and wife, Angie, of Crossett; one daughter, Debra Riley Hogan of Crossett; two sisters, Betty Howe, of Dewitt, and Virginia Turner, of Crossett; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral services are 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 2, 2015 at the Freedom Ministries Church in North Crossett. Burial will be in the Rolfe Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Medders Funeral Home of Crossett. Pallbearers are Jim Taylor, Robert Taylor, Joe Taylor, Tim Hogan, Brendan Riley and Trey Turner. Honorary Pallbearers are Jason Taylor and Johnny Howe.
Visitation is Sunday March 1, 2015 from 5 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
