Carolyn Brown, 73, of Crossett passed away Friday, February 12, 2016 at the Louisiana Extended Care Hospital in West Monroe, LA. She was born on August 21, 1942 in Crossett, AR to Carroll and Evelyn Barnett. She was a member of South Main Baptist Church. Carolyn and her late husband, Enoch were owners of Westside Sporting Center and Westside Lawn and Garden Center for many years. Later, she went on to become the Manager of the Arkansas Workforce Center in Crossett. She enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking and fishing, but most importantly, she loved spoiling her grandchildren, by buying gifts and spending time with them as often as she could.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Enoch Brown; and her parents, Carroll Curtis Barnett and Evelyn Lorraine Barnett.
She is survived by one son, David Brown and wife Ulrike of West Haven, UT; two daughters, Sharon Morris and husband Todd of Conway, and Terri Longing and husband Jeff of Monticello; six grandchildren, Jayson and Justin Brown of West Haven, UT, Will and Abby Morris of Conway, and Josh and Noah Longing of Monticello; three sisters, Betty Fran Adams of Crossett, Mary Alice McMahan and husband Frank of Crossett, and Sylvia Ann Martin and husband Bobby of Hamburg; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., Monday, February 15, at Medders Funeral Home, 1564 Hwy 52 W, in Crossett.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 16, at Medders Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Donnie Dubose officiating, followed by an interment at Carter Cemetery.
