Floyd “Allen” Stephenson Jr., 49, of Crossett, died Tuesday, September 08, 2015. He was born to Floyd and Gwendolyn Stephenson on November 12, 1965 in El Dorado, Arkansas. He graduated from Crossett High School in 1984, and was an employee at the Georgia-Pacific Paper Division Plant in Crossett. He loved spending time with his family, and friends. Allen’s hobbies included riding his motorcycle, gardening, being outdoors, and attending Jarvis Chapel Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his infant brother.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 28 years, Kristy Haynie Stephenson of Crossett; two daughters, Hannah Chapman and husband Daniel of Crossett, Lacey Earls and husband Jacob of Little Rock; his parents, Floyd Allen Sr. and Gwendolyn Stephenson of Crossett; one brother, Greg Stephenson and wife Lianne of Hamburg; and one granddaughter, Kinsley Chapman of Crossett.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday September 11, 2015 at Beulahland Assembly of God Church with Bro. Lloyd Gibbs officiating, followed by an interment at Crossroads Cemetery. Pallbearers are Brian Rabb, Carlton Maxwell, Andy Alford, Chris Posey, Kenny Haynie, Charlie Smith, Todd Kelley, and Sam Zieman. Honorary pallbearers are, James Outlaw, Richard Clark, and Frankie Williams, and his co-workers at Georgia-Pacific.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Beulahland Assembly of God Church in Crossett.
Services have been entrusted to Medders Funeral Home, 1564 Hwy 52 W in North Crossett.
