Joseph "Benjamin" Washam Obituary

Joseph “Benjamin” Washam, 16, of Hamburg, died Thursday, August 11, 2016.  He was born on October 5, 1999, in Olivia, MN and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church of Hamburg.  Ben was a Sophomore at Hamburg High School and an avid bull rider.  He enjoyed bull riding at the Bull Palace in Oak Grove, LA and with Mike Richard in Shiloh, AR, but would ride a bull anywhere, anytime.  Rodeo was his passion, but he loved duck hunting, fishing and, of course, his family, especially spending time with his brothers and other small children.  He was a clown, always making people laugh and being the center of attention and his big generous heart was obvious to all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Robert Davis; grandparents, Eugene Davis, Dema Marie Washam, Tommy D. and Betty L. Sivils; great-grandparents, Mitchell and Pearly Price, Lloyd “Frog” Price, and Benjamin and Syble White; his uncle, Robert Price; aunts, Betty C. Price and Ellen Avery; and one cousin, Christopher Tyler.

He is survived by his parents, Richard E. Washam of Albany, MO and Leann Price Davis and step-father, John Davis of Fountain Hill; seven brothers, Richard A. Washam of Hot Springs, Jamie Netherly and Brandon R. Clark of Crossett, and J.C. Mason Davis, Jimmy L. Davis, Caden R. Davis, and Johnathon Davis of Fountain Hill; grandparents, Susie White and Steve Horsman of Hamburg, Judy Davis of Fountain Hill, Dewey Savage of Monticello, and Ozeal Cruz Price of Hamburg; aunts and uncles, Clayton and Krystin Price and three sons of Hamburg, Charlie and Kathy Watt and three sons of Rison, Brian and Shari-Sivils Christianson and four sons and two daughters of Hunter, KS, Mart and Gina Nelms of Hamburg, Stacy Walters of Hamburg; and a host of cousins and friends.
