Karen Lisa Akin, 55, of Crossett, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2016, at the Baptist Health Medical Center of Little Rock. She was born in Crossett, Arkansas on September 22, 1960, to her parents, L.V. and Bennye Moore Rowe. She worked at the First United Methodist Church Daycare for several years, loved music, and was very active in her church, the Pine Street Church of Christ.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Beverly Rowe; and one brother, Larry Rowe.
Survivors include her husband of thirty-one years, Fred Akin of Crossett; three daughters, Sarah Tonneson and husband Brad of Lawton, OK, Grace Durkes and husband Anthony of Crossett, and Lilian Akin also of Crossett; two brothers, Eddie Rowe of Crossett and Paul David Rowe of Monticello; and a special caring niece, Debbie Smith and husband Randy of Crossett.
A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 3rd at the Pine Street Church of Christ, 301 Pine Street in Crossett with Pastor Charles Harris officiating.
Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. until the service begins in the Pine Street Church of Christ Annex building.
