Larry Steve Blissett, 70, of Crossett, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2016, at his residence. He was born on June 13, 1946, in Little Rock, AR to his parents, Marion and Mary Frances Harrington Blissett. He did construction work for Pippen & Son at Georgia Pacific for fifteen years and was a big fan of the New Orleans Saints and Arkansas Razorback football teams. Besides watching football, he enjoyed riding back roads admiring nature and keeping his trucks shined up. He was a proud member of the National Wildlife Association and the North American Hunting Club and loved his children and grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, Marion E. Blissett; his grandfather, Riley Blissett; his grandmother, Fannie Harrington; one brother-in-law, Harold Pennington; and one sister-in-law, Doris Blissett.
His is survived by four sons, Larry E. Blissett and wife Amy of West Monroe, LA, Steven Blissett and wife Fhaye of San Antonio, TX, Brandon Blissett and wife Erika of Bastrop, LA, and Roger Blissett of Magnolia; one daughter, Laurie White and husband Mike of Crossett; his mother, Mary Frances Blissett; and two brothers, Charles Blissett and Robert Harrington and wife Karen all of Crossett; three sisters, Lavern Pennington, Ruby Dean Blissett and Jackie Harrington; also of Crossett; sixteen grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 1st, at Crossett Second Baptist Church, 3142 Highway 169 S, in Crossett, with Bro. Lloyd Townsend officiating, followed by an interment at Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Medders Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Kenny Pennington, Royce Blissett, Jason Dykes, Ronnie Dykes, Harold Wayne Pennington, and John Lewis Surratt. Honorary pallbearers are Mr. Larry's Sunday school class
Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m., Wednesday at the church.
