Velma Frances Teutsch, age 71, of Crossett, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 13, 2017, at her home. She was born on May 24, 1946 in El Paso, TX, to James H. and Laura Rodgers Parker. She was a homemaker and loved being outdoors fishing or hunting. Through the years she enjoyed making many arts and crafts, including making homemade quilts; but her favorite times were spent at family gatherings, spending time with her children, and grandchildren. She was a member of the Church Of Christ of Crossett, and cherished being married to her best friend for 41 loving years.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Linda Lawrence and Jamie Parker.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Teutsch of Crossett; three sons, Terry Collins and wife, Carrie of Junction City, LA, Billy Rath and wife, Becky of West Monroe, and Joseph Teutsch of Crossett; three daughters, Laura Waltman and husband, Richard of West Monroe, Kandi Rath of West Monroe, and Michelle Grisham and husband, Kevin of North Alabama; twenty four grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; along with a host of friends and extended family members.
No services are planned at this time, and the family asks that any donations be made to the Church of Christ Children’s Home in Paragould, AR in memory of her.
