I was so sorry to see Alan's passing at such a young age, but also happy to see what a full and happy and blessed life he lived, and that he never lost his sense of humor. I remember him from the early 70s when we went roller skating in Clinton 2-3 times a week and he was always there. He was such a sweet and funny kid, he would trick people into thinking he didn't know how to skate by shuffling along the wall holding onto the rail for dear life for a few rounds, then all of a sudden he would whiz out to the center of the rink and start doing spins and jumps like a pro. It always made me laugh even after I learned he was just being funny and to this day still laugh about it when I recall fond memories of the skating crowd and all the fun we had back then. God bless all of his family.
