Bonnie Jones, 81, of Crossett, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at the Life Touch Hospice Center in El Dorado. She was born in Hermitage, Arkansas on April 11, 1936, to her parents, Jim and Lillian Pennington Orr. In 1952, she graduated from Hermitage High School and soon married her sweetheart, Felton Reece Jones, Sr., in the Warren First Baptist Church parsonage. They moved to Crossett in 1956 and raised three children in a home she kept immaculate. Bonnie became a very active member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for 20 years. She was a perfectionist who loved camping and fishing with her husband, quilting and was known throughout the community for her amazing sewing skills. Besides doing alterations at The Casual Shop, she often sewed for her family, grandchildren, and various others throughout Crossett. She had an incredible talent of being able to create clothing without a pattern and sewed everything from cheerleader and eaglette uniforms to the Mt. Olive choir robes. She was a Christian woman who loved her family and enjoyed making things for others never asking for much in return and always believing that beautiful things come together one stitch at a time.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and seven brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-five years, Felton Reece Jones, Sr. of Crossett; two sons, Felton Reece Jones, Jr. and wife Sherry of Crossett and Nickey Jones of Hamburg; one daughter, Benita Kay Brooks and husband Ron of Orlando, FL; one sister, Irma Corker of Pritchard, AL; nine grandchildren, Shaun Jones, John Jones, Greg Brooks, Chris Brooks, Nicole Collins, Katie Martino, Cole Jones, Jessica Grider, and Kristen Carter; and eleven great-grandchildren, Colby Vonkanel, Brooks Vonkanel, Jaci Brooks, Hartley Brooks, Faith Brooks, Hope Brooks, Sydney Brooks, Nash Vonkanel, Austin Martino, Paycyn Brooks, and Evan Carter.

Olive Baptist Church, 1533 Hwy 52 W, in Crossett with Pastors Eric Hodge and Travis Roberts officiating, followed by an interment at Outlaw Cemetery under the direction of Medders Funeral Home.
