James Johnson Obituary

James Johnson, 59, of Crossett, formerly of Little Rock, passed away on Friday, March 2, 2018, at the Ashley County Medical Center. He was born on December 22, 1958, in Richmond, CA to his parents, John D. and Pearl Iree Beale Johnson. He was a Baptist who enjoyed bowling, cooking, and hanging out with his beloved wife, Diane, and their sweet dog, “Buddy”. James was a former Pro Bowler and a people person who would do anything for anyone.

He is preceded in death by his parents and survived by his wife, Deborah Diane Johnson of Crossett; one son, James D. Johnson, Jr. of Little Rock; one daughter, Jacqueline Candelaria of Maumelle, AR; along with several grandchildren.

Medders Funeral Home has been entrusted with his care. There will be no services held at this time.
