James "Jimmy" Neal Robinson

James “Jimmy” Neal Robinson, 57, of Crossett, passed away Friday, May 17, 2019, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, LA.  Jimmy was born, to his parents, James H. and Sarah Varnell Robinson on October 29, 1961, in Malvern, AR. 

He worked as a maintenance supervisor at Interfor Lumber Corporation in Monticello over the past few years and enjoyed fishing. 

He will be remembered for the love he had for his family, his beloved fur babies, and playing music.  Jimmy was a huge Stevie Ray Vaughn fan and spent many countless hours listening and playing his songs over the years.  Jimmy had a passion for playing the guitar and enjoyed sharing his talent by performing with many local bands over the years.

He is preceded in death by his father, James H. Robinson.  He is survived by, the love of his life for 25 years, his wife; Kaye Rice Robinson of Crossett; one daughter, Michelle MacCloskey of Dallas, TX; one step daughter, April Spence and husband, Justin, of Bastrop, LA; three step sons, Craig Handly and wife, Laura, of Monticello, Lance McGhee and wife, Vanessa, of Conway, and Brad McGhee and wife, Kelly, of Crossett; two nephews, Brandon Murphy of Jonesboro, and Aaron Murphy and life partner, Kerra, of Maumelle; one sister, LouAnne Richardson of Hamburg; his mother, Sarah Robinson of Hamburg; seven grandchildren; and all of his beloved four-legged fur babies he cared so much for. The family would also like to thank all of Jimmy’s past band members, musician friends, and fellow music lovers, he is survived by, who came out to play, listen, and share his passion of music over the years.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at Medders Funeral Home Chapel, 1564 Hwy 52 W, Crossett, with Bro. Keith Boseman officiating. 

The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. for a Memorial Visitation in Jimmy’s honor.
