Joe Hilburn Obituary
Joe Wayne Hilburn, 80, of Hamburg, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2019, at the Silver Oaks Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Dumas, AR on July 24, 1939, to his parents, Richard Cecil and Myrtle Berry Hilburn.
In 2000, he retired from Ashley Chicot Electric Company and he became a proud Christian at seventy years of age.
He had a heart of gold and was very generous. He was a mechanic and welder who could build just about anything and he enjoyed playing his guitar.
He was “old school”, tough, straightforward, private, and loved the Lord, Jesus Christ.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Ammie Hurst, Dorothy Clevenger. He is survived by his children, Billy, Linda, and Sandra Hilburn; two sisters, Darlene Lofton of Camden and Carolyn McLendon and husband, David, of Hampton; and a special caregiver, Lisa Vernon; along with a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 18th at Unity Cemetery with Bro. Keith Boseman, officiating.
