Joseph Martin McCarty

Joseph Martin McCarty, 32, of Crossett, passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at the Ashley County Medical Center.  He was born in Baton Rouge, LA on December 15, 1985, to his parents, Buford and Vickie Sandidge McCarty.  Joseph lived in Crossett most of his life and enjoyed listening to music and playing guitar with his buddies, watching the New Orleans Saints or LSU play football, cooking, and riding motorcycles.  He was a loving son and father, a good friend and listener, and a comic who kept everyone laughing with his jokes and impersonations. 

He is preceded in death by his father, Buford Eugene McCarty; and his grandparents, Buford Lee McCarty and Clinton and Idola Sandidge.

He is survived by his son, Gianni Malachi McCarty; and his mother, Vickie Sandidge McCarty both of Crossett; three brothers, Jonathan Liles and wife, Alicia, and Jesse Eugene McCarty and wife, Michelle, also of Crossett, and Kevin Padgett; and one sister, Molly Young both of Claremore, OK.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 21st at Medders Funeral Home Chapel, 1564 Hwy 52 W, Crossett, with Pastor Bob Whiteley officiating.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Saturday at Medders Funeral Home.
