Mrs. Juanita Hoover Harrell was called home to be with the Lord on April 21, 2017. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 23, 2017, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Monday, April 24, 2017, from 9:00 AM until 10:50 AM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 24, 2017, at 11:00 AM at the Wolf Funeral Services Chapel in Morton, MS. Burial will follow in the Springhill Cemetery; there will be no graveside services. Officiating will be Rev. Jerry Holmes. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Harrell was ninety-one years old. Though she was a lifelong resident of the Barefoot Springs Community, she had lived in Crossett, AR for several years at Stonegate Villa Health and Rehabilitation. She was born in Bolton, MS on September 04, 1925. She had five brothers and sisters. She married Albert Cleveland Harrell on May 23, 1940, and became a mother to three children, Doris Pace of Hamburg, AR; AC Harrell (deceased); and Olen “Spencer” Harrell of Flora, MS.
She was a hard working southern woman who loved being in the garden. She spent countless hours teaching many of her grandchildren how to gather eggs, milk the cows, tend to the livestock, and work in the garden. Her love was abundant and her smile and laugh were infectious.
She loved the Lord and loved her community. She was a lifelong member of Barefoot Springs Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Cleveland “Buddy” Harrell on April 22, 1998; and her son, AC Harrell on August 12, 2015; two brothers and sisters, Edward Hoover, Willie Mae Harrell, Rvatus Jordan, and John C. Long, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Doris Pace of Hamburg, AR and her son, Olen “Spencer” Harrell (Sandra) of Flora, MS; sister, Doris Parker of Leesburg, MS; twelve grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren; nineteen great-great-grandchildren; and four great-great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Michael Sorrels, Cori Jones, Bon Bergeron, James Uzzle, Randy Harrell, and John Harrell.
Local arrangements were entrusted to Medders Funeral Home of Crossett.
