Kathleen “Kathy” Ray Miles, 67, of Crossett, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2019, at the Ashley County Medical Center. She was born in Sterlington, LA on August 2, 1952, to her parents, Alvin Clermon and Pauline Ray Pruitt Riles. She was a lifelong resident of Crossett and a member of the Pine Grove Church of God.
Kathy worked as a hairdresser for many years, loved everyone, and never met a stranger. She would do anything for anyone and could absolutely do just about anything. She was a perfectionist, a faithful member and worker in her church, a fabulous cook, and an amazing grandmother.
She enjoyed crocheting, flower arranging, painting, and spending time with her beloved family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Rance Roland White.
Her survivors include her husband of 37 years, William Eugene Miles of Crossett; two sons, Paul Ray Blankenship of Crossett and Rance Alvin White (Amy) of Grand Rivers, KY; one daughter, Angel Mashet Boyte of West Monroe, LA; one sister, Betty Lou Wisecarver of Hamburg; one brother, Robert Alvin Riles of Crossett; nine grandchildren, Tyler, KateLynn, Jonathan, Damon, Ashley, Daisy, Courtney, M.J. and Abby; and three great-grandchildren, Raydyn, Morgan, and Marcus.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at Medders Funeral Home Chapel, 1564 Hwy 52 W, in Crossett with Pastor Doug Edwards, officiating followed by interment at Lick Prairie Cemetery under the direction of Medders Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Rodney Riles, Todd Wisecarver, Eugene Burnett, Terry Kelley, Danny Carter, and Mitchell Pearson.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at Medders Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gideons International Organization.
