Larry Joe Grayson Sr., 68, of Crossett, formerly of Star City, passed away on Friday April 19, 2019. He was born August 12, 1950 in Prescott, Arkansas to his parents Jack Taylor and Melba Lou Ballard Grayson. He was raised in Star City, where he was a graduate of Star City High School and a former member of the Star City Masonic Lodge. He loved motorcycles and enjoyed hunting and fishing, and working in his vegetable garden. After many years of service, Joe retired from the United States Department of Agriculture in McGehee.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his three brothers, Jack T. Grayson Sr., Darren Grayson, and Remmel "Happy" Grayson; and one stepson, Donald Barnett Jr,.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 20 years, Janice Bridges Grayson of Crossett; one son, Larry Joe Grayson Jr. and wife, Jennifer, of Las Cruces , NM; one daughter, Laura Grayson Gray of Nashville, AR; one step daughter, Dana Barker and husband, Willie, of Crossett; and one sister, Tammie Moore and husband, Raymond, of Prescott, AR; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Grayson's wishes were to be cremated and there are no services planned at this time. Arrangements entrusted to Medders Funeral Home.
