Leigh Ann Robertson Obituary

Leigh Ann “Reed” Robertson, 32, of Crossett, passed away on December 28, 2017, at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello.  She was born on May 11, 1985, in Lake Village, AR and lived in Crossett most of her life.  She was a member of the North Crossett First Baptist Church and a 2003 graduate of Crossett High School where she was voted, not only, Miss CHS, but was crowned the 2003 Homecoming Queen.  Leigh Ann attended the University of Central Arkansas and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Marketing in 2008 and most recently worked as a preschool teacher at the Kid’s Corner.

Besides being a “social butterfly”, Leigh Ann could be characterized as being a “southern princess”, a hard worker, and an “Arkansas Razorback super fan”, but her most treasured role was being “Mama Bear” to her two children, who she loved with all her heart and soul.

She was someone who could easily show love to others and after facing many adversities in her life, her faith gave her a sensitivity and an understanding of life that filled her with compassion, gentleness, and a testimony that she would freely share to help others.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Jim and Ruby Batterton and Kenneth Reed, Sr.  She is survived by one daughter, Brynna Leigh Robertson; and one son, Gunther Reid Robertson, both of Crossett; her mother, Phyllis Rawls and stepfather, Tommy, also of Crossett; one brother, Kenneth Bruce “Brent” Reed, III and wife, Tracey, of Greenbriar, AR; one step-sister, Staci Shearon and husband, Heath, of Maumelle, AR; two aunts, Penny Breedlove and husband, Jerry, of Hamburg, and Susan Reed Bean and husband, Wayne, of Little Rock; and a very special friend, Rusty Josey of Crossett.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 31st at the North Crossett First Baptist Church, 1035 Hwy 52 W, Crossett, with Pastors Robin Allen and Bob Whiteley officiating, followed by an interment at Pinewood Memorial Park under the direction of Medders Funeral Home.  Pallbearers will be Heath Breedlove, Deric Breedlove, Wesley Breedlove, Eric Stone, Alex Johnson, and Ross Allen.

Visitation will be from 4 – 6:00 p.m., Saturday, December 30th at the North Crossett First Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the NCFBC Building Fund.
