Marshall "Fred" Thompson, Jr.

Marshall Fred Thompson Jr, 77, of Lake Village, AR formerly of Crossett, went to be with the Lord on November 6, 2018. surrounded by family. He was born August 23, 1941, in Crossett, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall Fred Thompson and Annabelle White Thompson and his wife, Nancy Thompson.

Fred is survived by brother Larry W. Thompson of Crossett, AR, brother Dennis L.(Ellen) Thompson of Hensley, AR, Children: Debbie (Bruce) Sharp of Crossett, AR, Shelly (Jim) Diestel of Fort Worth, TX, Vicki Dougan of Sarasota, AR, Cindy Knight of Hamburg, AR, Donna (Ronnie) Anderson of Paron, AR, Lisa (Bruce) Brown of Monticello, AR, Jimmy Clay (Beth) Knight of Sheridan twenty-six grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren.

Fred was a Navy Veteran; he studied forestry at Monticello A&M, and was a retired engineer from the railroad. While working on the railroad, he was an AD&N track supervisor, a brakeman, and a local engineer.

 A Celebration of Fred’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 10th at Crossroads Cemetery in Crossett.
