Mary “Sue” Price, 69, of Crossett, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018, at the Ashley County Medical Center. She was born March 21, 1949, in Bastrop LA to Fred Calvin Barnett, and Helen Pauline Murphy. She was life long resident of Ashley County, and a graduate of Crossett High School and later married the love of her life, the late Benny Price. Sue was a retired seamstress at the Hamburg Shirt Factory and a homemaker, but her favorite role was that of grandmother. She was a Baptist and a member of South Main Baptist Church since 1998, where she served as head of the Ladies Social Committee. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Benny; and two sisters, Pat Clark and Linda Browning. Survivors include one son; Ben Allen “Benji” Price and wife Gena of Crossett; two grandchildren, Zachery and Emily Price both of Crossett; one brother, David Barnett and wife Maletha of Wooster, AR; one brother in law, Bill Browning of Crossett, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 27, 2018, at Pinewood Memorial Park under the direction of Medders Funeral Home of Crossett with Bro. Lyle Hern officiating. Pallbearers will be Zach Price, David Barnett, Royce Swaim, Shane Copes, Bill Runyan and Jeff Harrison.
There will be no visitation prior to the service and memorials may be made to the South Main Baptist Church or the Gideons International.
