Patricia "Pat" Williams Obituary

Patricia “Pat” Williams, 72, of Crossett, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018, at her home.  She was born on March 24, 1946, to her parents, C. L., and Virginia Bonds Price and was a member of South Main Baptist Church and the CHS Class of 1964.

In 1981, she received a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Arkansas at Monticello and began a teaching career that lasted for 37 years.  Pat was adored by her many students and friends for not only her contagious smile and larger than life personality, but her humble and kind-hearted nature.

She always loved animals, including her two dogs, Max and Mandy and the late “Petunia,” her pot-bellied pig who she occasionally fed animal crackers.  Pat enjoyed reading, going camping, going out for seafood, laughing, and could easily “out talk” most anyone and her playful, witty spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents and survived by her husband of 54 years, Frankie Williams of Crossett; one son, Todd Williams and wife, Gayla, of Crossett; two daughters, Amy Brantley and husband, Darren, also of Crossett and Carla Ferrell and husband, Lance, of Johnsville; one sister, Pam Culp and husband, Lane, of Milo; one brother, Charles Price of Little Rock; seven grandchildren, Ryan Brantley, Lauren Cunningham, Chase Ferrell, Logan Ferrell, Colby Williams, Todd Williams, Jr., and Carly Carter; four great-grandchildren, Blakely Cunningham, Carson Brantley, Ayden Carter, and Gracelyn Carter; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 12th at South Main Baptist Church, 2801 S. Main St., Crossett, with Pastor Lyle Hern officiating, followed by interment at Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Medders Funeral Home.  Pallbearers are Darren Brantley, Lance Ferrell, Lane Culp, Travis Ashley, Jerry Ashley, and Royce Swaim.

Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 11th at South Main Baptist Church.
