Sherry Ann Gammel, 51, of Crossett, died Monday, September 17, 2018. She was born in Tallulah, Louisiana on October 24, 1966, to her parents, Mike Valdez and Judy Love. She grew up in Lake Village, Arkansas and eventually moved to Crossett where she has resided for over 30 years. She was a member of Beech Street Baptist Church and a former owner of her own cleaning business.
Sherry was a kind and fun-loving person who enjoyed spending time with her friends and family especially when it involved being on the water. No matter the season, Sherry could easily be found swimming or sunbathing in the river and will be forever missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Wade Gammel of Crossett; one son, Matthew (Cassidy) Gammel also of Crossett; her father and step-mother, Mike and Mary Valdez of Lake Village; her mother, Judy Love of Monroe, LA; four sisters, Janey (Mitchell) Reginelli of Lake Village, Lillian (Nathan) Byrd of Jonesboro, LA; Chasity (Daniel) Ledet of Houma, LA, and Jessica Valdez of Lake Village; two brothers, Jamie Roy Bezzeard of Starkville, MS, and Joshua Valdez of Lake Village; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 24th at Medders Funeral Home Chapel, 1564 Hwy 52 W, in Crossett, with Pastor Donnie Dubose officiating.
