Timothy Dewayne Poole, 58, of Crossett, died Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at his home. He was born on April 23, 1959, in Warren, AR and lived in Crossett most of his life. He was a Baptist, a machine operator for the Georgia Pacific Plywood Mill for 15 years, and a member of the CHS class of 1978. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, coaching his son’s baseball and soccer teams, watching the Arkansas Razorbacks play, and the family camping trips at Sugar Shack and the Pecan Grove. Tim was a devoted family man who not only adored his children but loved and welcomed all their friends as if they were his own and eventually became the loving papaw to his precious grandchildren. His weekends consisted of being surrounded by children enjoying fun times, whether it was at the ballpark, the river, or shooting fireworks from the front yard. His children were his world and he was especially proud of his son’s service in the U.S. Coast Guard.
He is preceded in death by his father, Willie Clyde Poole; his stepfather, Charles Posey; one brother, Mike Poole; one sister, Martha “Little Bit” McKenzie; grandparents, Ben and Lizzie Jane Franklin, and Clarence and Lola Poole; and one aunt, Ruth Ferrell.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Simpson Poole of Hot Springs; one son, Russell D. Poole and wife, Elizabeth, of Petersburg, AK; one daughter, Sabrina Poole and fiancé, Robert Smith, of Hamburg; his mother, Martha Posey of Crossett; a sister-in-law, Linda Poole of Vilonia, AR; four grandchildren, Andre', Kason, Hunter, and Hedera; “soon to be” grandchildren, Draylon and Tyler Smith; a special nephew, Christopher Simpson; along with a host of other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 30th at Trinity Freewill Baptist Church, 803 Ashley Road 95, Hamburg, with Bro. Keith Boseman officiating.
