Winnie “Marie” Hogan, 81, of Crossett, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2019, at the Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. She was born in Fountain Hill, Arkansas on May 7, 1938, to her parents, Clark and Winnie Helen Johnson Fairchild. Marie was the 1956 Valedictorian graduate of Fountain Hill High School, and Captain of the girls basketball team. She attended the Draughon Business School in Little Rock and eventually began a career with Georgia Pacific which spanned over 50 years before she retired in the accounting department of the Crossett Plywood Plant. She was a Baptist, and an amazing grandmother to all her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Ms. Dorothy Stewart.
Her survivors include one son, Richard Hogan and wife Jaime of Hamburg; two step-daughters, Tammy Manley and husband Ron of Bastrop, LA., and Lynda Allen and husband Wayne of Fountain Hill; seven grandchildren; seventeen Great Grandchildren; and a host of loving family and friends.
A graveside service will held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at the Flat Creek Cemetery in Fountain Hill with pastor Keith Rose officiating. Pallbearers are Phillip Ivy, Joe Gilley, Allen Ward, Dewey Ward, Jackie Johnson, and Chance Hogan. All services are under the direction of Medders Funeral Home of Crossett.
Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at Medders Funeral Home, 1564 Hwy 52 W, in Crossett.
