Albert "Stuart" Thomas, Jr. Obituary

Albert “Stuart” Thomas, Jr., 66, of Crossett, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024. He was born in Memphis, TN, to his parents, Albert Thomas, Sr., and Wrayma Stott Thomas and was a 1976 graduate of Crossett High School.

Stuart was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church of Crossett and a cherished and loyal member of the Allen/Richardson Sunday School Class.

He was the former owner/operator of Crossett Transfer and most recently worked as a truck driver. Stuart enjoyed spending time on the river in his boat and especially looked forward to game days with lifelong friends, playing pool, dominoes, and cards. Known for his easygoing and carefree nature, Stuart was a cherished friend and family member.

He is preceded in death by his parents and leaves behind his two sons, Matthew Thomas (Caroline) of St. Johns, FL and Mason Thomas of Camden, AR; along with two sisters, Pam Scott (James) of Byhalia, MS, and Gail Thomas (David) of Crossett; three grandchildren, Lily, Aidan, and Ally; special friends, Patricia Thomas, Renee Rose, and Kim Eldridge with bonus daughters, Samantha, Cheyenne and Cassidy; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, August 27th, at Medders Funeral Home, 1564 Hwy 52 W, in Crossett, with Bro. Phillip Slaughter, Jack Allen, and Joe Sivils, officiating.  Special friends are Ricky Brantley, Sammy Earl Jordan, Ricky Townley, Steve Reed, and Stebo Jordan.  His honorary friends are the members of the Allen/Richardson Sunday School Class.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Allen/Richardson Sunday School Class.
