Alice Faye Pennington, a beloved lifelong resident of Crossett, and member of the Pine Street Church of Christ, passed away on her 83rd birthday, June 9, 2023. She was known for her vibrant spirit, her love for her family, and her optimistic nature.
She was a talented painter and enjoyed working on crafts, along with word and jigsaw puzzles. She was resilient, honest, and independent, always valuing the simple things in life and appreciating the smallest of gestures.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Cordell and Donnie Swan Pennington; and two siblings, Norma Dorman and Dorothy Summers.
She leaves behind one sister, Jamie Wisecarver of Crossett; one niece, Anita McKeithen of Baton Rouge, LA; three nephews, James Summers of Palatka, FL, and Dee Wisecarver and Jay Wisecarver both of Crossett, AR; along with a host of other relatives and many friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, June 12th, at Medders Funeral Home, 1564 Hwy 52 W, in Crossett, with Minister, Jerry Martin, of Church of Christ, officiating, followed by a private interment at Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Medders Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Alice’s nephews.
Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m., prior to the service at Medders Funeral Home.
