Annie Mae Lewis, 95, of Monticello, Arkansas, formerly of Crossett, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2025. She was born on March 31, 1930, in Tillar, Arkansas, to her beloved parents, Jessie and Louie Black Lord.
Annie Mae was a member of Eden Baptist Church, where her kind spirit and unwavering faith touched the lives of many. Known for her warm smile and gentle heart, she had a unique gift for making everyone feel special. Whether you were family, friend, or stranger, Annie Mae’s kindness left a lasting impression.
She found great joy in reading romance and old west novels, cooking hearty meals, and most of all, caring for her loved ones. Her home was a haven of comfort and love, filled with the aromas of home-cooked meals and the warmth of her unwavering affection. Annie Mae was the very definition of a ray of sunshine, bringing light and love wherever she went.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Travis Lewis; and one son, Wayne Lewis.
She leaves behind her loving daughter and best friend, Patricia Lewis of Monticello; and a host of other friends and relatives who loved her dearly.
She will be laid to rest in the Hickory Grove Cemetery in Crossett. No services will be held at this time.
