Barbara Ann Gifford

Barbara Ann Gifford, age 75, of Crossett, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. She was born on October 23, 1949, in Monticello, Arkansas, to Marion Lavon Higginbotham and Oreece Kelley Higginbotham.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Barbara was a Licensed Practical Nurse, having completed her training through the Baptist Program. She had a servant's heart and a nurturing spirit, which extended beyond her nursing career to every aspect of her life.

Barbara was a proud and passionate gardener and a past member of Master Gardeners Club, who found joy and peace among her flowers. She never met a stranger and welcomed everyone with a warm smile and open heart. A faithful Christian, she was a dedicated member of Beech Street Baptist Church in Crossett, where she worshipped and served with love. She had a wonderful place in her heart for her grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved daughter, Kyla Gifford Williams.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 56 years, Keith Gifford of Crossett; daughter, Kacie Gifford of Crossett; two sisters, Marilyn Chambers of Hamburg and Judy Pierce (Mark) of Conway; one brother, Marion Higginbotham (Tammy) of Crossett; three grandchildren, Jacob Meeks, Ashley Barentine, and Landon Meeks; eight great­ grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the Beech Street Baptist Church in Crossett, with Bro. Donnie Dubose officiating. Visitation will take place 30 minutes prior to the service.
