Barbara Diane (Norris) Hickman

Barbara Diane Hickman, 60, of Crossett, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2022, in Little Rock.  She was born on May 17, 1962, to her parents, Geraldean and Daisy Walden Norris.  She was raised in Garland, Texas, graduated North Garland High School, and was a member of Freedom Ministries Church.

Barbara was a homemaker who enjoyed watching movies, reading, shopping and spending time with her beloved grandchildren.  She was a classy lady, always prepared with hair and make-up for whatever God had planned for the day. 

Her home was spotless, her heart was tender, and her faith was strong.  A fighter right up until God was ready to take her home.

She is preceded in death by her father, Geraldean Norris, and one grandson, Jude Netherland.

She leaves behind her husband of forty-three years, Steve Daniel Hickman; and four children, Robert Daniel Hickman, Fallon Netherland (JB), Jared Lee Hickman, and Kelsi Lynn Hickman, all of Crossett; along with her mother, Daisy Mae Norris of Greenville, TX; one brother, Larry Norris (Phyllis) of Texas; two sisters, Gwen Jackson of Caddo Mills, TX, and Regina Lay of Greenville, TX; and two grandchildren, Jace Netherland and Fathom Hickman.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 5th, at Freedom Ministries Church, 221 W. Pierce St. in Crossett, with Pastor Robert Jones officiating with private interment at Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Medders Funeral Home. 

Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the church prior to the service.
