Betty Mann Obituary

Betty Ann Mann, 85, of Crossett, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2018, at the Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.  She was born on April 21, 1933, to her parents, Alvie and Cora Hill Williams.

She was a lifelong resident of Crossett, a graduate of Crossett High School, and a former supervisor at First National Bank, where she worked for 22 years.

Betty was a faithful member of First Baptist Church where she wholeheartedly taught Sunday School to many of her beloved friends and eagerly served the Lord with her many God given talents including playing piano and singing.  She was a member of “The Golden Voices” choir and her family quartet, “The Williams Family”.

She was a proud republican lady who radiated class and had an enormous amount of love for everyone, especially her family.  Her sister, nephews, their wives, and their children meant everything to her and she cherished the time they spent together.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Brady Mann; one nephew, Jeffery Paul Evans; and her brother in-law, Kenneth Evans.

She is survived by one sister, Guylene Evans of Crossett; two nephews, Alvie Evans also of Crossett and Robert Gerald Evans of Austin, TX; three great-nieces, Jennie Lynn Coady, Nicole Andrea Outlaw, and Brianna Elizabeth Evans; one great-nephew, Ethan Luke Evans; and three great-great-nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 22nd at First Baptist Church of Crossett, 701 Main St., with Pastor Jamie Staley officiating, followed by an interment at Pinewood Memorial Park under the direction of Medders Funeral Home.  Pallbearers are Robert Evans, Alvie Evans, Ethan Evans, Oscar Velasquez, Chase Outlaw, and Sidney Coady.  Honorary pallbearers are Ms. Betty’s Sunday School Class.
