Betty Inez Patrick, 88, of Crossett, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022. She was born in Wilmot, Arkansas, on June 22, 1933, and was raised alongside her twelve siblings on a farm in Parkdale.
In 1960, she married her best friend and soulmate, Dearl Patrick, and soon they became members of the Pine Forest Missionary Baptist Church family. Their commitment to the Lord and their church family was unwavering. They raised their three children in church and strived to instill a foundation of faith that would last for generations.
Inez loved fellowshipping with her church family, crocheting, reading, and working in her flower beds. She was a faithful and supportive wife, and Christian matriarch for the family.
She is proceeded in death by her husband, Dearl Patrick; her parents, Ned and Aurice Allen Murphy; and twelve siblings.
She leaves behind one son, David Patrick (Marilyn) of Monticello, Arkansas; two daughters, Deanna Stiles (Richard) of Bryant, Arkansas, and Deborah Patrick of Crossett; along with five grandchildren; Brittney Stevenson, Jarrod Earnest, Jordyn Hastings, Tori Seale, and Aryn Stiles; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 15th at Medders Funeral Home, 1564 Hwy 52 W, in Crossett, with Bro. Willie Thornhill and Bro. Roy Grantham officiating, followed by a private interment at Pinewood Memorial Park, under the direction of Medders Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Steve Courson, Roy Grantham, Tim Toler, Mike Smith, and Mike Murphy.
Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Pine Forest Missionary Baptist Church or Shriners Hospital.
