Bobby Ray Endsley

Bobby Ray Endsley, 73, of Crossett, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2020, at the Ashley County Medical Center.  He was born and raised in Waco, Texas, served in the United States Army, and was a Vietnam veteran.

Over the years, Bobby drove many miles as a truck driver and briefly even as an ice road trucker in Alaska.  His employers included Morris Transportation and Downey Robinson, among others.

He moved to Crossett in 1989, and married his sweetheart, Jenitta and later became a member of the Cloverdale Assembly of God Church, where he was rebaptized in 2011.

He enjoyed fishing, was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan, and was a very talented pool shark.  
He was a strong-willed, Christian man who loved his job and especially loved spending time with his family at the compound in Hearne, Texas, or hanging out with his niece and nephew, Billy and Janet Allen at Lake Bruin.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Lane Endsley; one brother, Ronald Wayne Endsley; three sisters, Frances Anne Puryear, Linda Darlene Brocato, and Alice Faye Kilgore; one brother-in-law, Daniel James Conner, Jr.; and his step-father, James Joseph Howell.

He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Jenitta Halbert Endsley of Crossett; one daughter, Jennifer Endsley of Waco, TX; two sons, Patrick Endsley of Washington and Ken Behnke of Waco, TX; his mother, Rachel Kunze Howell of Hearne, TX; one brother, Tommy Lane (Elizabeth) of Calvert, TX; one sister, Elizabeth Jan Conner of Hearne; and one brother-in-law, Clyde Kilgore also of Hearne; along with three grandchildren, Amyah Nicole, Lariyah Ezette, and Serenity Ann; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at the Medders Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Williams and Bro. D.J. Bussell, officiating.  Pallbearers are Jamie Conner, Mike Eddy, Lyn Dale Edminson, Randy Hammons, Shane Copes, and Andy Rials.  Honorary pallbearers are Billy Allen, Scott Crass, and Lance Mills.  Interment will be in Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah, Louisiana, whenever cemetery conditions permit.

Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m., Tuesday prior to the service.
