Bobby Jean Henry, 78, of Crossett, passed away Wednesday, April 1, at North Baptist Hospital in North Little Rock, AR. He was born September 3, 1947, to Walter Henry Sr. and Adilene Brown Henry in Monticello. He was a lifelong resident of Crossett.
Mr. Henry was honorably discharged from the United States Army after serving in the Vietnam War. He married Rebecca (Becky) Shairrick on June 8, 1968, enjoying 45 years together before her passing on June 8, 2013. He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Henry loved fishing and camping with his family. He was a retired ironworker and welder for various construction companies.Mr. Henry loved to go fishing with his daughter, Robbin. They always had a competition to see who caught the most and the largest fish.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife; his brothers, Walter Henry Jr., Nelson Henry, and James Henry; his sister, Evelyn Chadwick; and his son-in-law, Lonnie Sharp.
Mr. Henry is survived by his daughter, Robbin Henry Sharp Nussbaumer (Jeff); a granddaughter, Penny Travis (Bobby); a great-grandson, Alec Travis; a great-granddaughter, Hailey Travis; a great-great-granddaughter, Harper Person; a great-great-grandson, Hudson Person; a host of nieces and nephews; and a special niece, Harley Rose.
No services will be held at this time.
