Bobby Randall “Randy” Craig, Jr., 70, of Hamburg, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at the Nightingale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Crossett. He was born on May 26, 1953, and was a resident of Ashley County most of his life.
Randy worked in maintenance as a millwright and did various construction jobs throughout the years. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle, and cheering on his favorite team, the Arkansas Razorbacks
He is preceded in death by his father, Bobby Randall Craig, Sr., his brother, Mark Craig, and step-father, William Q. Platt.
He leaves behind one son, Colt Craig (Kari Jo) of Hamburg, AR; four daughters, Roxie McMillan (Fielden) also of Hamburg, Shayna Wall and Rhea Lynn Avant (Jimmy) both of Crossett, and Miranda Craig of Texarkana, TX; his mother, Rosalyn “Sue” Platt also of Texarkana, TX; two sisters, Shannon Walker (Carl) of Arkadelphia, AR, and Christy Meeks of Little Rock, AR; along with seven grandchildren, Brianna Deal, Madalynn Wall, Dalton, Blayton, and Dayton Craig, and Jaxon and Presley Avant; two great-grandchildren, Jensen and Jayden Deal; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
