Bonnie Lee Cope Farmer, age 89, of Crossett, passed away on April 14, 2025, at Baptist Health Medical Center Conway surrounded by love, her daughters holding her hands and her only son speaking to her over the phone as she peacefully went home. She was born on August 5, 1935, to Monroe and Leona Cope of Crossett.
She attended many churches over her long years on earth and was always dedicated to her churches being a church secretary, teaching VBS and teaching Sunday school. She was a long-standing member of Mount Olive Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school until her eyesight declined and she could no longer continue. She remained loyal and faithful to her Lord and Savior throughout her life, always trusting him through every joy and trial. Her life was a reflection of her deep faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Travis Cope, and one sister, Margaret Fleming.
Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Glen Farmer, one son, Mike Farmer (Priscy) of Hamburg, daughters, Kim Marks (Chris) of Grove, OK and Lisa Johnston of Crossett; one sister, Linda Perdue of Strong; six grandchildren, Tara Green (Thomas) of Centerton, AR, Andy Farmer (Whitney) Hamburg, Karis Crawford (Josiah), of Tulsa, OK, Christian Johnston (Yallin) of Fort Smith, McKenzie Marks of Branson, MO and Drew Johnston of Crossett; six great grandchildren, Olivia, Hayden, Kloey, Macie Jo, Asher and Juniper.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Medders Funeral Home in Crossett, with her son, Bro. Mike Farmer, officiating, followed by private interment at Pinewood Memorial Park under the direction of Medders Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Mike Farmer, Andy Farmer, Chris Marks, Christian Johnston, Drew Johnston and Ben Rabb.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, American Cancer Society, Alzheimer’s Association or Billy Graham Ministry Foundation.
