Brenda Gayle Booker, age 74, formerly of Crossett, peacefully passed away on Monday, August 21, 2023, at the Belvedere Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Hot Springs, AR. She was born on March 9, 1949, in Crossett to Billy Charles and Verda Mae Booker. She was a 1968 graduate of Crossett High School, a past member of Beulahland Assembly of God Church in Crossett and was a retired custodian at the Fountain Lake School District.
Brenda found pleasure in doing interior decorating and cherished moments spent visiting with her sister in Texas but above all else she treasured her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her warm and caring nature extended to her entire family where she created lasting memories in all their lives.
She is preceded in death by her parents and leaves behind her son, Allen White (Sandra) of Monticello, AR; one daughter, Angela White of Hot Springs, AR; one brother, Gary Booker (Sharon) of Dickinson, TX; one sister, Pam Barker of Willis, TX; eight grandchildren; Richard Washam, Blake White, Gabriel Jenkins, Jacob Jenkins, Britney White, James Neathery, Kyler Duncan and Stephen Kelley; one great-grandson, Bentley Neathery, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 24, 2023, at Medders Funeral Home, 1564 Hwy 52 W, Crossett, AR with Bro. Steve McMellon, officiating. Due to the excessive heat there will be a private commital at Crossroads Cemetery. Pallbearers are Richard Washam, Blake White, Jake Booker, Greg Stephenson, Charlie Smith and Dustin Steiger.
Visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
