Brenda Sue (King) Sutton

Brenda Sue King-Sutton, 72, of Crossett, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at her home surrounded by family.  She was born in Wynne, Arkansas on October 30, 1949, to her parents, Homer and Venita Nichols King and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.

Brenda was a “take charge” kind of lady who often made decisions at the drop of a hat.  She loved to redecorate, and her family often woke to furniture or even walls being moved around.  She enjoyed singing and took center stage of any room she entered.

For many years, Brenda worked at the Hamburg Shirt Factory, but in her free time, she enjoyed playing wahoo, working crossword puzzles, dancing, and riding her grandchildren around on the four-wheeler.  Holidays were her favorite, and whether it was dressing up as Santa at Christmas or a witch at Halloween, she always had a good time because she was with her family, who meant everything to her.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ronnie King; a son-in-law, Kenny Wayne Tharp; one niece, Linda Kay Jones; and great nieces, Casey Lynn Jones, and Kayla Jones.

She leaves behind her husband of forty-one years, Johnny Sutton of Crossett; three daughters, Stacy Tharp of Montrose, AR, Angela Reynolds (Clyde) of Bastrop, LA, and Mindy Bolen (Brian) of Crossett; three step children, Tonia King (Dennis) of Crossett, Gary Sutton of Hamburg, and Sherry Kay of Monticello; along with two sisters, Linda Kelly (Louis), and JoAnne Ward both of Hamburg; one brother, Dennis King (Tonia) of Crossett; six grandchildren, Dustin, Dalton, Joshua, Brandon, Destiny, and Damion; thirty-three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 24th, at Medders Funeral Home, 1564 Hwy 52 W, in Crossett, with Bro. Andy Connard, officiating.  Pallbearers are Joshua Reynolds, Dustin Tharp, Dalton Tharp, Damion Bolen, Chad King, Cliff King, Junior King, Johnny King, and Joe King.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Saturday, at Medders Funeral Home.
