Carolyne Marie Courtney, 80, of Crossett, Arkansas, passed away on March 18, 2024, at her home surrounded by family and friends. She was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on December 5, 1943, to Jack and Jean Wilson.
Carolyne worked in the secretarial field, working for Great West Life Insurance Company in Winnipeg as a secretary to the vice president. She was a highly skilled typist averaging 120 wpm. Carolyne also worked for several area cafés where she loved meeting new people.
She loved reading and gardening and carried a sense of humor that will not be forgotten. Carolyne loved her church and church family and loved the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her husband James “Deryl” Courtney, her parents Jack and Jean Wilson and sister Linda Walton.
She is survived by her son Darrell Falk and wife Laura, grandson, Jared Falk and partner Katherine Phanouvong, grandson, Kirby Falk and wife Christina; two great granddaughters, Leila Grace and Amery Faith, special niece, Sara Cairncross and husband Ian and special great nephew Colton along with her fur baby, Chyna Baby. She is also survived by one stepdaughter, Rosalind Goodwin and husband Wesley of Petal Mississippi, one stepson, Hal Courtney; grandchildren, Jennifer Freeman and husband Jeremey, three great grandchildren and Courtney Goodwin. Also left to cherish her memory are two dear friends, Virginia Turner, and Mae McDonald.
A memorial service will be held on March 29, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at Crossroads Missionary Baptist Church
