Cecil “Jerrick” Sellers, 32, of Crossett, passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021. He was born in Monticello, Arkansas, on November 9, 1988, was a lifelong resident of Crossett, and attended Freedom Ministries.
Jerrick worked for Pioneer Construction Company as a scaffold builder. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and hanging out with his friends.
After giving his heart completely to Jesus, praying was a considerable part of Jerrick’s life. He often talked about Jesus, and he loved his church and his family immensely, especially his two beautiful daughters.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Doyle Sellers, Lupe Peterson, and Willie Brown; one aunt, Cindy Peterson; and two uncles, Monty Peterson and Ken Burchfield.
He leaves behind two daughters, Willow Rain and Layla Marie Sellers; his mother and stepfather, Sonya and Steve Haygood of Crossett; his father, Randy Sellers of Godfrey Landing; his stepmother, Norma Sellers of Crossett; grandparents, Charles Peterson, Nancy and Marvin Wallace, and Jean Sellers; one brother, Lee Sellers of Southhaven, MS; three sisters, Tiffany Sellers, Brittney Sellers, and Whittney Sellers all of Crossett; along with two stepsisters, Shellie Brazier of Crossett and Tara Franklin of Jacksonville, AR; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 20, at Crossroads Cemetery with Bro. James Harrington officiating. Pallbearers are Mitchell Sellers, Justin Peterson, Cody Henry, Robert Peterson, Brice Hodge, Jacob Smith, Simon Pamplin, and Jonathan Sivils. Honorary pallbearers are Brandon Jacobs, Paul Sellers, Lee Sellers, and Brandon Peterson.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday at Medders Funeral Home, 1564 Hwy 52 W, Crossett.
