Christopher Albert Davis, 58, of Crossett, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026. He was born April 20, 1967, in El Dorado, Arkansas.
Chris was a lifelong resident of Crossett and a proud graduate of Crossett High School, Class of 1986. He spent over thirty years working at Georgia-Pacific in a number of roles, most recently in Central Stores. Chris was known as a hardworking man who spoke his mind and could carry on a conversation with just about anybody.
He loved being outdoors and found a lot of joy in the simple things—hunting, tending to his vegetable garden, and firing up the grill to cook for family and friends. Chris was also a former member of the Wasp Nest Deer Camp, where he shared many seasons of hunting, stories, and good fellowship with friends.
Chris was a big Arkansas Razorback football fan and always looked forward to making the trip to Fayetteville to watch the Hogs play. Whether he was at the stadium or watching from home, he cheered for the Razorbacks with everything he had.
If you knew Chris, you knew he never met a stranger. He was outspoken, talkative, and full of personality. Chris could strike up a conversation anywhere and before long it felt like you’d known him for years. He had a bigger-than-life presence and was the kind of person who made friends wherever he went.
Most of all, Chris loved his two children, Madison and Nicholas. He was proud of them beyond words and cherished every chance he had to spend time with them and make memories together.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Mary Ann McDonald Davis and leaves behind his daughter, Madison Michele Davis of Little Rock, AR; one son, Nicholas Alexander Davis of Boston, MA; and one brother, Paul Davis and wife, Vicki of El Dorado; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 14th, at Medders Funeral Home, 1564 Hwy 52 W, in Crossett, with Bro. Ricky Pack, officiating, followed by interment at Carlock Cemetery under the direction of Medders Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Paul Davis, Nicholas Davis, Jacob Cole, and Shawn, Brandon, Alex and Michael Johnson.
Visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., at the funeral home prior to the service.
