UPDATE REGARDING SERVICE:
Connie's Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 29, 2020, at Medders Funeral Home Chapel.
Cornelia “Connie” Ann Smith, 84, of Hamburg, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2020, at the home of Audrey New. She was born on January 3, 1937, in Monroe, Louisiana, to her parents, Everett and Bernice Blankenship Parker. She was a 1955 graduate of Crossett High School and a member of South Main Baptist Church.
Connie was a woman of great faith, a devoted wife to her husband, Bobby of 64 years, and a loving mother to her daughter, Vicki. She always had a smile on her face and opted to see the glass half full rather than half empty, and if you ever needed comfort and encouragement you could count on her.
Connie was a hard worker and enjoyed working beside her husband in their contracting business. She took great pride in building homes for many families over the years. She was a positive, forgiving, and loving person who always took the lemons life gave her and made lemonade.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Bobby Joe Smith; and two brothers, Lane Parker, and Billy Ramseur.
She is survived by one daughter, Vicki Trammell, and husband, Mark; one granddaughter, Sandy Rice, and husband, Timmy; one great-grandson, Luke Rice; and three brothers, Carroll Parker and wife, Shelby, Keith Parker and wife, Beth, and Jackie Parker and wife, Jeannie, all of Crossett.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 26, 2020, at Pinewood Memorial Park with Pastor Lyle Hern officiating. Pallbearers are David Parker, Ryan Graves, John Parker, Luke Rice, and Tommy Woods.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 25, 2020, from 5:00-6:00 p.m. at Medders Funeral Home, 1564 Hwy 52 W, in Crossett.
