Dale Alan Jones, a lifelong resident of Dermott, Arkansas, passed away at his home on June 3, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on September 18, 1956, Dale was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose voice and presence resonated deeply throughout Southeast Arkansas.
Dale was the devoted husband of Cherry Sue Jones, his high school sweetheart and the love of his life for 49 years. Together they built a beautiful life filled with laughter, music, and deep-rooted love. He is survived by his son, Brandon Case “Casey” Jones (Heather Jones), and his cherished grandsons, Jackson Case Jones and Adler Arin Jones—whom he adored beyond measure.
He was preceded in death by his parents, E.A. and Hazel Jones, and his brother Bobby Don Jones.
Dale is also survived by his loving siblings: Sharie Savage of Benton, AR, Ron Jones (Betty Jones) of Jacksonville, AR, Sam Jones (Donna Jones) of Shreveport, LA, Rick Jones (Anna Jones) of Monticello, AR and a host of nieces and nephews.
For over 35 years, Dale was proudly known as The Voice of Southeast Arkansas through his work at KVSA, where his warm, steady tone became a trusted and familiar sound in homes across the region.
Dale was a proud Arkansan, a die-hard Razorback fan, and a man who found joy in the simple things—like fishing, picking up his guitar, and sharing a jam session with friends. His love of music was matched only by his love for his family, especially his grandsons, who brought him endless pride and happiness. Dale was a member of Living Proof Gospel Band.
He leaves behind a legacy rich with warmth, laughter, music, and unconditional love. Though his voice is now quiet, the beauty of his spirit echoes in every heart he touched.
Memorial services will be held at Temple Baptist Church in Dermott, on June 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Andy Connard and Bro. Kirby Sneed, officiating.
