Dan C. Emory

Dan was an usher at mine and Thad’s wedding. He had never said much to me in the years Thad and I dated. But that waiting to be walked down the aisle by my Uncle Tommy McDougald Dan looked at me and said “ well you ain’t ugly”. His way of complimenting me. Made my day!

So sorry to hear of Dan’s passing. I have been so out of touch since I left Parkdale. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I was a student at Arkansas A & M (now the UAM) in the early 60's when Dan would play his guitar for us. He did a hauntingly beautiful rendition of "The Twelfth of Never" that I will remember forever. He was a very gifted singer/player. His passing makes me very sad, but Heaven will gain yet another precious soul. My husband, Dewane Hendrix was a classmate of his lovely sister. I pray for comfort for his family.
