Daniel Gene Hough, 74, of Crossett, formerly of Springhill, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025. He was born on February 2, 1950, in Springhill, to his parents Glynn Daniel and Dorothy Dovie Dorman Hough.
Daniel dedicated over 40 years to Georgia Pacific as an Area Steam Superintendent for the Southern Division covering many states and various plants across the country, until his retirement in 2006.
He loved crappie fishing on Lake Erling, and playing and spending time with his fur babies, Cruz, Patty Cake, and Tootsie. Daniel also was 1968 Graduate of Springhill High School and member of Open Door Fellowship Church of Springhill.
Daniel is preceded in death of his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Deborah Hough; one daughter, Jena Lewis (Antonio); one son, Joey Hough, all of Crossett; and one brother, Donnie Hough, of Springhill, LA; four grandchildren, Paige Callender, Jordyn Hough, Brady Hough, and Ajay Lewis; his devoted fur babies, and his caregiver and friend, Ella Williams.
A family directed Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, February 2nd at the Open Door Fellowship Church in Springhill, Louisiana.
