Danny Ray Smith, Jr.

Danny Ray Smith Jr., born on April 20, 1971, in Hamburg, Arkansas, passed away at the age of 54 on October 23, 2025. A dedicated worker, Danny spent many years with Hood Packaging, earning respect and admiration from his colleagues. He was a proud member of the Frost Prairie Fire Department and had an unwavering passion for hunting, fishing, and woodworking.

Danny loved his family unconditionally and adored his two grandchildren, who meant the world to him. He was known for his friendly nature, never meeting a stranger, and was fiercely protective of his loved ones, always willing to go to great lengths for them.

He was preceded in death by his father, Danny Ray Smith Sr., mother-in-law Bettie Hohn, and father-in-law Gary Brumley and his grandparents.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca "Becky" Smith; his son, Daniel Smith (Jordan); his mother, Blondell Smith, brothers; Robert Smith (Sabrina), Anthony Smith (Hannah), his sister, Darlene McCraw (Vincent Sr.), brothers-in-laws; Michael Brumley (Tonia) and Christopher Brumley, father-in-law, Jack Hohn; mother-in-law, Margaret Brumley. Danny also leaves behind his two beloved grandchildren, Elijah Smith and Amelia Smith, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and his very much loved pets;  Skittle, Moose, Bear and Olivia.

A celebration of Danny’s life will be held on Tuesday 2:00 PM, October 28th, at Medders Funeral Home. The time of visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the service. Rev, Carlton White and Corey Baker officiating.

 Danny’s spirit will continue to inspire all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his kindness, love, and passion for life.
