Dona Lowe Obituary

Dona Kay Lowe, 75, of Crossett, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2022.  She was born in Three Rivers, Texas on December 4, 1946, to her parents, Dink and Marie Willis Ellison.  Dona was a 1964 graduate of Strong High School and a member of the Church of the Redeemer.

Over the years, she owned and operated Dona’s Drive-In and the Crossett Road Mart.

She was an animal lover, a talented photographer, and a phenomenal cook.  Chicken & dumplin’s, vegetable soup, brownies, and snickerdoodles are just a few of her mouthwatering creations all included in the recipe book she created for her family.  She loved gathering her friends and family together and because of her enormous compassion, always invited others who were less fortunate.

Dona was a selfless and kind soul who encouraged and believed in others, loved her family, and loved Jesus.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by one grandson, Bryan Fleischhauer, and an infant sister.

She leaves behind her husband of thirty-four years, Philip Lowe; three daughters, Denise Cannon (Larry), and Patty Frisby (Faron) both of Crossett, and Tonya Fleischhauer (Thomas) of Waco, TX; and one son, Ward Philip Lowe, II (Charlotte) of China, TX; along with two sisters, Pat Smith of Strong, AR, and Connie Myers of Crossett; nine grandchildren, Rachel, Jimmy, Hannah, Jenna, Sarah, Bekah, Hillary, Tanner, and Colby; and eleven great-grandchildren, Layne, Cayden, Caleb, Brody, Wyatt, Oakley, Haley, Murphy, Cannon, Amelia, and Georgia.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, October 15th at Medders Funeral Home, 1564 Hwy 52 W, in Crossett, with Pastor Bob Whiteley, officiating.

Her family is honoring her wishes to be cremated and her cremated remains will be buried in the Strong Cemetery at a later date.
