Donna Gayle Collier, 59, of Hamburg, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2022. She was born in Monticello, Arkansas on Christmas Day in 1962, to her parents, Everett and Virginia Donaldson Kelley. She was a lifelong resident of Ashley County and a member of Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church.
For several years Donna served on the Ashley County Fair Board and worked as the Sherriff of the First United Methodist Church voting center in Hamburg.
With a generous and caring heart, she aided her longtime friend Delores, in her photography business for fifteen years as a secondary photographer and assistant, always volunteering to help whenever needed, especially when it included playing with babies and making them laugh.
Donna didn’t consider herself much of a cook, however, her peanut butter pies, chocolate pies, and homemade salsa were her family’s favorites. She enjoyed crocheting and especially bowling; however, the role of wife, mother, daughter, sister, loyal friend, "Nonna" and “Nanna” was most certainly what brought her the most joy.
She is preceded in death by her father, Everett Eugene Kelley.
She leaves behind her husband of forty-three years, Tim Collier, Sr.; and four children, Angela Davis (Casey) of Crossett, Tim Collier, Jr. (Samantha) of Monticello, Heather Collier of Crossett, and Brianna Mills (Kyle) of El Dorado; along with her mother, Virginia Kelley of Hamburg; three sisters, Diane Kelley of Crossett, Darlene Williams of Hamburg, and Denise White (Kenneth) of Shreveport, LA; and four grandchildren, Lexi Collier, Law Collier, Alana Davis, and Kambri Fowler.
A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 23rd, at Flat Creek Cemetery in Fountain Hill, Arkansas with Bro. Josh Luellen officiating. Pallbearers are Kenneth White, Jim Hudson, Johnie Stewart, Mitch Taylor, Joe Chaney, and Arron Jennings. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Mathews, Kyle Mills, Johnny Huffstetler, and the Hamburg Prairie Lodge #465.
Services entrusted to Medders Funeral Home of Crossett.
