Steve Dustin Reed, 38, of Crossett died Monday, November 7, 2016. He was born in El Dorado, AR on September 3, 1978, and was an Ashley County resident for most of his life. He was an employee of SeaArk Boats of Monticello and formerly worked for Gammel’s Inc. of Crossett. He was a very generous soul who loved everyone he met and was known for his big heart. He enjoyed playing his drums, listening to music, woodworking, and recently had taken up oil painting. He was a great uncle who loved his family and friends and will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernest and Minnie Clark and Charles Edward Reed.
He is survived by two daughters, Channing and Charley Reed of Crossett; his mother and stepfather, Martha and Jimmy Kinney of Crossett; his father and stepmother, Steve and Gail Reed of Omaha, NE; two brothers, Brandon Hartness and wife Courtney and Justin Kinney all of Crossett; two sisters, Amy Thomas and husband Canon and Ashley Morgan also of Crossett; one grandmother, Maxine Reed of Crossett; three aunts, Cathy Chandler and husband Roger of Hermitage, Brenda Robbins Weaver, and Kim Reed of Crossett; two uncles, Chuck Reed and wife Sherry of West Monroe, LA and Mark Reed of Crossett; a special friend and her father, Jennifer Hamilton and Gary Hamilton of Hamburg; along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 10th at Medders Funeral Home Chapel, 1564 Hwy 52 W, in Crossett with Bro. Taylor Freeland officiating, followed by an interment at Crossroads Cemetery. Pallbearers are Justin Kinney, Kip Carter, Tracy Chandler, Austin Chandler, Keith Fox, Scottie Fox, Ron Henry and Ricky Henry.
Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at Medders Funeral Home.
